July 1-11, 2026. Epicurus, Copenhagen.
Experience an unforgettable evening at Epicurus this summer as we revisit jazz history during Copenhagen Jazz Festival with a special condensed edition of the Miles Davis Marathon, celebrating the centennial of Miles Davis in 2026.

Across eleven nights, audiences are guided through defining chapters of Miles' extraordinary legacy. The first part of the residency is dedicated to his acoustic masterpieces, capturing the elegance and depth of albums like Milestones and Kind of Blue. The second part shifts into his electric revolution, exploring the bold and boundary-breaking energy of works like Bitches Brew and Tutu. Each night presents a complete album performed live in full - a rare opportunity to experience the evolution of one of music's greatest visionaries.

At the helm is trumpeter Wallace Roney Jr., carrying forward both his own artistic voice and the lineage of his late father, a direct protégé of Miles Davis. He is joined by an international all-star ensemble featuring Gábor Bolla (saxophone), Tobias Dall and Felix Pastorius (bass), and Nikolaj Dall and Jacob Hatholt (drums). Pianist Calle Brickman leads the acoustic week, while guitarist Carl Mörner Ringström joins for the electric chapter, completing the soundscape.

Line-up includes
Wallace Roney Jr. (trumpet)
Gábor Bolla (saxophone)
Calle Brickman (piano)
Carl Mörner Ringström (guitar)
Tobias Dall / Felix Pastorius (bass)
Nikolaj Dall / Jacob Hatholt (drums)
