Chairman of the board is a fantastic rhythm section that delivers the best swing in copenhagen.Jess Harpsøe the singer is a fabulous interpreter of the classic love songs in jazz, both the sad ones and the happy ones, and he is known in the jazz community as the Frank Sinatra from Denmark. Add to that a touch of Sammy Davis Jr and you have something very special

Horse Orchestra is a very special band on the modern Nordic jazz scene. The band members succeed in combining parts of the history of jazz with modern barrier-breaking musical experiments. In Horse Orchestra's universe classical 1920s New Orleans meet 1960s freejazz as well as hiphop and modern classical music, and it all ends up in an original, post-modern style that has no equivalent on the Nordic jazz scene

Horse Orchestra consists of seven young musicians from Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and the band is a testimony to a new generation of musicians who master their musical historical legacy and try to help modern jazz music reach new heights

For Horse Orchestra humor is just as important an element as the instrumental equilibrism and the compelling compositions. In this way, the humorous and flourishing music is so infectious that you happily engage with the orchestra's occasionally extreme tonal experiments

Horse Orchestra has performed in Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Germany, England, Serbia, Hong Kong, China and South Korea

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark since 2008, award-winning Polish pianist Artur Tuznik has established himself as a versatile musician working across jazz, improvised and classical music scenes in Europe, both as a pianist and composer. His recent albums as a leader and co-leader dive into crossover-classical music (The Space Above in a piano/flute/drum trio or CASCADES in a duet with Danish saxophone veteran Thomas Agergaard), while releases with his sextet employs elements of Slavic folk melodies and Scandinavian jazz.

As a pianist, Tuznik has performed with Tomasz Stanko, Chris Cheek, Tony Malaby, Veronica Swift, Jeremy Pelt, Thommy Andersson, Wayne Tucker, Janne Mark, Anders Christensen among many others. He has worked closely with Danish Radio Big Band and performed his music and projects on Danish (DR Koncerthuset) and Polish (JAZZ.PL) national radios. His recognizable musical voice is strongly influenced by the language of Ravel or Szymanowski and folk music of his origins, but rooted in sound inspired by Charles Mingus.

Artur has been nominated to Danish Music Awards 2022 in the category Best Jazz Composer of the Year for "Spring" album with Artur Tuznik Sextet. He has written commissioned pieces for classical festivals in Denmark and been involved in many projects connecting the worlds of jazz and classical music. Artur is also one of only a few musicians to have studied at both the Royal Danish Academy of Music and Rhythmic Music Conservatory in the Danish capital.
