Elemental forces are at play when the David Miilmann Group (DMG) takes the stage and opens up their genre-defying universe. It is a captivating experience as the band moves effortlessly between composition and improvisation, forging a unique connection with one another and the audience.
With David Miilmann's singing slide guitar as a catalyst, DMG transports the listener into a colorful universe that stands out on the Danish music scene-drawing inspiration more from the American music landscape than from the Nordic jazz tradition.
DMG is making waves with their third album, *You Belong*, released in June 2026 on April Records. The album has been well-received by critics, and several tracks have enjoyed radio airplay. The band previously achieved success with their earlier album, earning DMA Blues nominations, airtime on P8 Jazz, and performing concerts across the country.

Med David Miilmanns syngende slideguitar som katalysator, tager DMG lytteren ind i et farverigt univers, der er unik på den danske musikscene. Med inspiration, der i højere grad er fra den amerikanske musikscene end den nordiske jazz tradition.

Eliel lazo - Descargas Cubanas

Eliel Lazo is an award-winning Cuban percussionist, vocalist, composer, and producer, born in Havana and based in Denmark since 2007. Considered one of the most prominent conga players of his generation, he has collaborated with international artists such as Chucho Valdés, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and the DR Big Band. In 2011, he received a Danish Music Award for the album *El Conguero*, and his music moves freely between Afro-Cuban styles, jazz, funk, and Latin traditions.
With the project *Eliel Lazo Descargas Cubanas*, Lazo revives the authentic sound of the legendary Cuban *descargas* of the 1950s-that spontaneous, virtuosic jam session tradition immortalized by masters like Peruchín, Frank Emilio, Cachao, and Tata Güines. Inspired by the album *Descargas Cubanas*, the project invites the audience into a vibrant musical universe filled with improvisation, rhythmic energy, and the warm, elegant sound of Havana's golden era. Balancing tradition and modernity, the music pays tribute to Cuba's musical heritage with both respect and a distinctive personal touch.

Eliel Lazo er en prisvindende cubansk percussionist, sanger, komponist og producer, født i Havana og bosat i Danmark siden 2007. Han regnes som en af sin generations mest markante congaspillere og har samarbejdet med internationale navne som Chucho Valdés, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter og DR Big Band. I 2011 modtog han en Danish Music Award for albummet El Conguero, og hans musik bevæger sig frit mellem afro-cubansk musik, jazz, funk og latintraditioner.
Med projektet Eliel Lazo Descargas Cubanas genopliver Eliel Lazo den autentiske lyd fra de legendariske cubanske descargas fra 1950'erne - den spontane og virtuose jamtradition, som mestre som Peruchín, Frank Emilio, Cachao og Tata Güines gjorde udødelig. Inspireret af albummet Descargas Cubanas inviteres publikum ind i et levende musikalsk univers fyldt med improvisation, rytmisk energi og den varme, elegante lyd fra Havanas gyldne æra.
